The DDGC Collective is excited to announce the launch of the Antifascist Research Cooperative (ARC). ARC is a collaborative effort dedicated to understanding and resisting contemporary far-right movements. Grounded in intersectional and coalitional approaches, it seeks to bring together educators, scholars, activists, and community members committed to antifascist values. By examining current fascist ideologies and tactics—including disinformation, social media radicalization, racialized violence and oppression, and attacks on queer/trans communities—ARC aims to build sustaining networks of solidarity and develop tools for confronting far-right agendas.
Our work will include facilitating reading groups and workshops, supporting and developing antifascist pedagogy, and organizing public-facing events. We aim to build networks of solidarity and knowledge-sharing across institutions, disciplines, and communities. Starting in the 2025-26 academic year, we will host a reading and discussion group focusing on recent works that analyze modern-day extremism and global far-right movements. We welcome participants from all disciplinary backgrounds, career stages, and types of institutions, including independent scholars and K–12 educators.
To kick off our programming, we invite everyone to a virtual welcome event on 19 May at 12pm ET. This informal session will introduce ARC’s mission and upcoming activities, and offer space to discuss recent political developments in a collegial setting. If you're interested in attending the welcome event and/or would like to learn more about future ARC events, please contact us at arc@ddgccollective.org or enter your email here to sign up for our mailing list.
