Get involved with the DDGC Collective!

A collective for and with the people in German studies

Our collective was devised to serve the members that comprise it. As such, we aim to be as accessible for our membership as possible. This includes shared governance structures, collective decision-making, but also empowerment of individuals and their initiatives. If you would like to be involved in the operation of the collective in some fashion, please reach out to any one of the steering committee members.

If you have a new initiative you would like to get off the ground and this initiative aligns with the DDGC Guiding Principles, we’d love to hear from you. The steering committee sees it as a duty to do their best in order to find you the resources and collective support you need for your initiative.

You can join one of our existing DDGC working groups, join a DDGC research network, create your own group, create your own network, or be part of any of the initiatives we are currently running. If you are not sure how to join an initiative, reach out to any one of the steering committee members and ask.

No matter your employment status or career stage: you have what it takes to be part of community initiatives such as ours. If you have an idea, but don’t know where to start or don’t know how to find resources for it, reach out to us!

Who can be a member? Anyone who feels that they see themselves and their interests reflected in the work we do!
